Hoisting & Rigging

Hoisting & Rigging Safety training is designed to educate operators to safely sling and rig loads according to the CSA standards. This course also surpasses ANSI, and ASME standards. Students will gain knowledge in health and safety standards, preventative maintenance and proper procedures for safe operation.

Rigging Safety Training Topics

This course will cover load hazard assessments, inspection of rigging equipment, safety factors and safe working load limits, rigging hardware, crane and hoist signals, load placement (centre of gravity), determining sling types, size configurations, sling capacity charts and calculations, types of rigging components, and lifting procedures.

Upon completion of the training theory and practical portion of the course, there will be a knowledge exam. Successful participants who achieve 80% or greater who also pass the practical component will receive certification valid for three years.

Provide students with a three year Rigging certificate recognized by OH & S.

Certification:

Three year Certificate of Completion rewarded to students who pass with a minimum grade of 80% who also pass the practical component.
