Aerial Work Platforms – AWP-01
This training program is designed to ensure safe operations of Aerial Work Platforms such as telescopic and articulating booms or scissor lifts. The course teaches students health and safety standards, preventive maintenance, and safe operations.
Additional topics include load Pre-use inspections, elevated work platform standards, pre-work planning, load limitations and calculations, specs of different machines, platform types, system components and how to safely operate an elevated work platform in the field.
Upon completion of the training Theory and Practical portion of the course, there will be a knowledge exam. Successful participants who achieve 80% or greater and also pass the practical component will receive certification valid for three years.
Fall Protection training is a pre-requisite for Aerial Work Platform Training, you will be required to present proof of Fall Protection Training prior to attending this course.
Provide students with a three year Aerial Work Platform operator certificate.

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment):
High visibility vest, safety glasses, steel-toed boots or site specific, and weather appropriate clothing.
Three year Certificate of Completion awarded to students who pass with a minimum grade of 80% who also pass the practical component.
